Lots and lots of effort has been put into REalM up until now, and lot is still to come. Some of us are working on our PhD's Dissertation Proposal, others on their last homeworks and exams to graduate from pregrad, but all of us in one boat: REalM. It hasn't been easy, but now some of that effort has payed off.
Some months ago, Square-Enix released news that would change what indie developers could look forward to when making games: the Square-Eni Collective was to be created. A platform where one could submitt game ideas and get feedback from the community. And if after 28 days the game passed the feedback phase, it would go into a crowdfunding phase via indie go-go, with all the people who "socially backed" the project in the Collective being notified on day 1 so they could support the project.
Well, now what happened: REalM is, as of this moment, the FIRST non-pilot-phase game on the Square-Enix platform.

So, it is now that we meet destiny, and go for it with everything. If you want to support us, just go to the collective and vote YES for REalM.
